• Local number access - no extra long distance charges and no hidden surcharges.
• DSL Service - Allows you to receive voice, fax and DSL over the same phone line.  With DSL service from SMTC you are able to increase your internet speed up to a maximum of 384k download and 192 upload.  Drop your dial-up internet 2^nd line and get DSL for less than $7.00/month more!  Please note - DSL service is not available in all areas and is distance sensitive.  We do have plans in progress to serve everyone.  If you are interested in DSL, we ask that you call our office so we can prioritize the demand areas and add your name to the list.
• Prompt setup - upon receipt of your signed application, your order will be processed immediately. 
• Local help available - if our office staff is unable to help you, we provide you with a toll free number to our technical support service.  Technical support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• E-mail capability - You will be provided with one email address per account at no extra charge.  Additional email accounts are available for an additional fee.  We have a local e-mail server which allows greater speed and reliability.  You also have the option of accessing your e-mail from any computer anywhere by going to www.webmail.smtel.com.
• Personal web space availability at no charge.  Commercial website hosting is available and those interested can contact our office for more information and pricing.
• Convenient billing - Internet services are itemized on your SMTC telephone bill.

Tapping into the global benefits of SMTC Internet is as simple as filling out the attached service order from and mailing it to our office. From there, all you need is a MAC or PC with a modem.  SMTC will provide you with instructions to utilize the pre-installed software you already have.  After configuring your software, connecting your modem to a standard phone line, your hookup to SMTC Internet will be complete.
